Borneo

Borneo (Kalimantan; Borneo) is the third largest island in the world, located at the centre of Maritime Southeast Asia. The island is politically divided between three countries: Indonesia, of which the Indonesian name for the island, Kalimantan, in English commonly refers to the Indonesian-controlled territory controls around 73% of the island; Malaysia, whose states Sarawak and Sabah (East Malaysia) collectively control about 26% in the north; and Brunei, an independent country controlling about 1% of the territory, located on the north coast.
